Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies

Akal University was established to provide worldly knowledge to the students in an spiritual environment. The Department of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies was established in the session 2015-16. B. A. Honours course in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies has been started in the University. This is first and a unique course as far as academics is concerned. This department is dedicated to the message of unity as preached by Sri Guru Granth Sahib and we are striving hard to achieve this objective. The course aims not only to impart complete learning of the Holy Scripture but also to teach Guru Darbar Maryada, Sikh tenants, Sikh history and life and teachings of Sant Attar Singh Maharaj Mastuane Wale and other enlightened sages from different sects and religions of the world. Comparative study of different religions is an integral part of the course.
