I was a grade 12th District topper and Ranked 6th in Punjab and now a student of B.Com (H) First Year at Akal University Talwandi Sabo. After completing my schooling, I wanted to take admission in such a University, where I could fulfill my dreams. Taking admission at Akal University Talwandi Sabo is one of the best decisions of my life. Akal University  B.Com (H) curriculum is designed according to current market trends and provides both theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The syllabus includes subjects like Mathematics and GST (etc). I also got chance to attend workshop on share market at IIM Indore.

I was confused while choosing a college or university after completion of my schooling for further studies, but my parents recommended me Akal University – Talwandi Sabo. After taking admission in the University, I realized that I took the right decision. I am thankful to my parents for recommending me Akal University. I feel that at Akal University, my dreams can be realised and I can achieve my goals as the Professors are well-qualified, praiseworthy, energetic and are very helpful and supportive. Unlike many other universities, Akal University provides both theoretical and practical knowledge as the Laboratories are very good and well-equipped.

I achieved All India Rank 26 in CSIR NET Exam during my 2nd semester, All India Rank 24 in CSIR NET (JRF) during my 3rd semester and All India 56th Rank in GATE (Life Sciences) Exam during my 4th semester. I give credit of my achievements to Akal University and to my teachers for their guidance, help and support. Akal University provides free coaching of CSIR NET and other competitive exams. In Akal University, students are taught according to NET syllabus; as at Akal University, Masters’ syllabus is designed in such a way that it also covers NET syllabus. I feel blessed to be a part of Akal University Talwandi Sabo.

Akal University provides free coaching of UGC-NET examination to its students and because of this intensive coaching, I cleared UGC-NET exam thrice i.e. in First Semester (Dec. 2018), Second (July-2019) and Third (Dec.-2019) semesters of my M.Com. (H) Studies. The syllabus of the Masters is designed according to the current trends of the market and students are provided with in-depth knowledge of each and every subject. It also covers UGC- NET syllabus. I feel grateful to the teachers and the University for their guidance and support to help me in achieving my goals.

Akal University provides a vast platform for learning, academic opportunities and value-based education. Seminars, presentations and introductory workshops on physics have boosted my knowledge. I feel  proud to be a part of Akal University. While studying at Akal University, I got an opportunity to take up a project in collaboration with Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. I am thankful to my teachers, especially Dr. Tapasi Das, Akal University and Professor Lokesh Tribedi, TIFR Mumbai for their guidance and support.

Akal University not only provides good academic knowledge but also provides practical knowledge by organizing various academic events like National Science Day, Pie Day etc. These events also include guest lectures and presentations given by the students. As a result, students get opportunities to dig subjects more deeply for practical knowledge, enhance communication skills and boost their confidence. I feel grateful to be a part of Akal University Talwandi Sabo.

The teachers at Akal University are highly experienced and hardworking. They motivate and encourage the students to appear for different Competitive Exams and to explore the research abilities. The Akal University provides research facilities to write dissertation. The University provides Value Based Education along with focusing on highly advanced ways of teaching. I have learnt many things from the University which cannot be explained. Akal University provides free coaching for UGC-NET examination and due to this coaching; I cleared UGC-NET Examination in June 2019.

The Department of Physics, along with regular studies, conducts workshops from time to time. Recently before lockdown, the department organised a workshop on Olympiad Experiments in collaboration with Indian Association of Physics Teachers. I was fascinated by experiments pertaining to giant magneto resistance, piezoelectric effect etc. under the guidance of Professor Ravi Bhattacharjee, spokesperson of the workshop. The Department has separate laboratories for Bachelor’s and Master’s students. The Department plays a critical role in channelizing the positive energy of students not only through theoretical and imagination but also through experiments. I feel very happy to be a part of the Akal University Talwandi Sabo.

The faculty at the university is very helpful and supportive. The environment is very safe and appreciable. The university has well equipped laboratories so that students can get practical knowledge as well along with theoretical knowledge. Regular assessment and quizzes are conducted, which make the concepts clear and make students know their abilities. Teachers are always available and welcome queries of the students. I feel that it is only due to regular support and encouragement of faculty members of Mathematics Department that I could attend Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme (MTTS) in 2019.

I passed my  grade 12th examination with  92%. It was my dream to prepare for UPSC-Civil Services Examination exams along with my graduation. So I  was searching colleges and universities and was confused. Then she heard about Akal University Talwandi Sabo from my acquaintances and thought of visiting the Akal University. The infrastructure of university is fascinating, campus is spectacular, well-furnished classrooms, well-equipped labs and amazing Study Environment. The faculties left an indelible impression on her mind with their experience and knowledge. Akal University Talwandi Sabo provides free coaching of UPSC-Civil Services Examination, Bank PO, CDS, CSIR/UGC NET etc to its students. The University also conducts seminars by professionals and All India Rank holders.
