On October 31, 2019 Akal University celebrated National Unity Day to coincide with the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. Different units of NSS conducted rallies in two villages namely, Peron and Bagha in Bathinda district to sensitise the students and people about the contribution of Gandhiji, Sardar Patel and other great leaders in building modern India and sacrifices made by numerous Indians for the country.
