Webinar on CO2 utilization and conversion to alternate fuels
The changes occurring in the environment are due to Global Warming which is a continuously rising phenomenon, referring to the increasing temperature of the Earth.
Global Warming is increasing due to emission of CO2 in the atmosphere. In India, CO2 Emission is majorly due to coal combustion for electricity generation. Electricity emission intensity is 926g/kWh, which is much higher than the global average of 533g/kWh.
To achieve the goal of reducing CO2 emission to 30-35% by the end of 2030, we have to give vital focus on CO2 conversions to alternate fuels like methanol & dimethyl ether.
For the betterment of the environment, Department of Chemistry, Akal University Talwandi Sabo is organising a webinar on ‘CO2 utilization and conversion to alternate fuels’ on 18 November 2020 at 2:00 pm on our YouTube channel
