Dr. Munruchi Kaur, Professor and Head of the Department of Botany, Punjabi University, Patiala in association with the Akal University conducted aone day workshop on mushroom cultivation on 28th November, 2019, in the conference hall of Akal University, Talwandi Sabo. 60 students from the Department of Botany participated to learn and hands on training as how to cultivate white button mushrooms. After the inaugural address by Dr.(Mrs) Kuldip Kaur Johal, HOD, Dr Manruchi Kaur first delivered two lectures which were followed by another session on hands on training of mushroom cultivation. Dr Munruchi was assisted by two of her Research Scholars from Punjabi University and Dr Harvinder Kaur, Assistant Professor from the Department of Botany. All the sessions were interactive and the speaker answered many queries raised by the participants. At the end, Dr. Arvinder Singh proposed the vote of thanks to the visiting Professor for organizing the workshop and enriching the student’s knowledge on very interesting and relevant field.
