The department of Botany of the University organized one day workshop on 25th February, 2019 “Plant microbe symbiotic associations: New generation technology for sustainable agriculture and their industrial implications”. Dr. Neera Garg, Professor of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the key resource person on the occasion. Ms Kiran Saroy, Ms Amandeep Kaur and Ms Aditi, Research Scholars of Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh assisted Dr. Neera Garg in imparting hands on training to the participants. Dr Garg demonstrated the procedure of culturing the microorganisms, methods of enhancing Plant-Microbe symbiotic association, staining techniques for the study of microbial associations and fresh cross sections of heavily infected nodules. Her way of performing the experiments was highly appreciated by the participants.
