On 30th Jan, 2019, the students of M.Sc. (IV Semester) and B.Sc. (IV Semester) of Department of Botany visited small scale industry of jaggery at Maur road, Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda). The visit was to accomplish one of the industrial visits as a part of their syllabus. Mr. Vaneet, the supervisor welcomed the students and explained various stages and steps in the chain of crushing of sugarcane to the Jaggery production. The students also raised a number of queries regarding the process from Mr. Vaneet. He emphasized on the need to supply chemical free jaggery to people. Visting faculty and students thanked Mr Vaneet of sparing time to acquit them of the detailed process of Jaggery making Unit.
