Centre for Competitive Examination, Akal University Talwandi Sabo organized a seminar for its students on “How to Prepare for UPSC-Civil Services Examination” on 27th November 2021. Around 80 students participated in the event. The speaker of the Seminar was Mr Simrandeep Singh, who secured 34th rank in UPSC 2020 exams conducted for top posts in Civil Services across the country and also cracked the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) exams this year. He is an alumnus of Akal Academy Kauriwara.
Mr. Simrandeep Singh emphasized the importance of strategized study plan to crack the examination. The strategy in this regard needs to be based on previous year questions, regular practice along with repeated revisions. According to him these three ensure focus on important themes and a good memory of the same. Also, the speaker highlighted the need to stay away from distractions, a disciplined schedule implemented with a focused mindset in order to produce effective results.
