Department of Commerce organized a Poster Making and debate competitions on 30th November 2017 on the topic- Cashless India. A seminar on Cashless India also organised on 15-09-2017. The guest speakers were Mr.DeepakKataria (Regional Manager) and Mr. Pradeep Bansal (Branch Manager) of ICICI bank.Theydelivered a valuable lecture on importance of internet banking. Various modes of cashless transactionslike debit card and credit card were discussed.
In addition to that Mr.KhushdilChabbra ( Nodal officer as recommended by UGC) gave a lecture on online payment system.At the end,Dr.Swarn Singh gave his views on challenges that India is facing in cashless transactions.
