To bridge the gap between theoretical learning and experimental perceptions, an “Educational trip” to Central Instrumentation Lab,Central University of Punjab (Bathinda), was organised on 18/10/2016, by “Chemical Science Society”. This type of educational trip provides students an exposure to learn the techniques and instrumentation for research. This educational trip help the students to develop scientific attitude and knowledge about research and development. The trip was arranged for M.Sc Chemistry 3rd sem students. It was planned to visit the instrumental lab facility of central university of Punjab (Bathinda). The main goal of trip was to visit the instruments and awareness of scientific skills. All the M.Sc 3rd semester students (22) and faculty members of Chemistry Department Dr. Sandeep Kumar and Dr. Manu Sharma visited Central University of Punjab (Bathinda) on 18/10/2016 at 10:30 am.
Analytical instruments such as UV-Visible spectrometer, atomic absorption spectrometer, Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer, Field Emission Scanning Electron microscopy and Fluorescence Microscope etc., were demonstrated and explained by Dr. Nagendra Babu, Assistant Professor and In-charge – Central Instrumentation Lab, Central University of Punjab.
